The defending champions went into the second leg at the Vicente Calderon with a 3-0 lead but a blistering start by Atletico left them shook. Saul Niguez  gave Atletico a 12th minute lead with a header before  Antoine Griezmann ‘s penalty made it 2-0 after just 16 minutes.
